The LSV10 Atomic Talking Watch is the perfect gift for someone that is visually impaired. It automatically sets the time from an Atomic Clock signal.
The LSV10 is a Single Band Radio Controlled watch. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) radio station, WWVB, located in Ft. Collins, Colorado continuously broadcasts the time signal at 60 Khz. This low frequency signal can be received up to 3200 Kilometers away, anywhere in the continental USA or Canada where long wave (AM) radio reception is possible. The WWVB station derives its signal from the NIST Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. For best signal reception and calibration, place the watch flat near a window overnight.
